About Me
When I was 15, I used to get into a lot of fights at school and faced some tough situations at home with my family. It made me angrier than you could imagine. To let go of that rage, I decided to start practicing martial arts. I did judo and jiu-jitsu from ages 15 to 20, got my purple belt, and the discipline helped me channel my anger. Because of sports, I had a lot of injuries. At 17, I bought my first motorcycle and got into several accidents. This combination gave me severe neck and shoulder injuries, but thanks to them, I developed a desire to learn how to heal my own body and alleviate my pain.
This led me to study Physical Education. But after graduating at 21, I realized that wasn’t enough to treat my pain. So, at 25, I started my second degree in Physical Therapy.I graduated at 29 and followed a professor’s advice to travel for experience, which led me to stay in the USA. But it wasn't easy. I didn’t speak English and had to work many different jobs to get by.
During this hectic time, I met Liz Soares, a massage therapist here in NY, and discovered Renata França’s method. I fell in love with the technique because it helped me so much with pain, constipation, swelling, and circulation, so I went back to studying. After various specializations in this field, I finally got my citizenship and a job in the massage niche. I’ve worked in several places and have done over 8 massages a day.
In 2023, I graduated again, this time in Massage Therapy. Today, besides working at a five-star spa and with celebrities, I also do home visits and I’m extremely passionate about what I do! I see that every challenge I faced, from martial arts injuries to the obstacles here abroad, shaped me into the professional I am today.
